Coronary artery disease (CAD) is the leading single cause of death in the developed world and is responsible for more than 30% of all deaths in most Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) countries. Between 15% and 20% of all hospitalizations are the direct results of CAD, and CAD is responsible for 17 million deaths annually worldwide.

Premier Heart's 3DMP™ System is a quick (82 seconds plus roundtrip time to our servers), accurate (approximate 90+% overall sensitivity and 85% specificity*), painless and stress-free (two-lead external ECG) tool for use as an aid in the diagnosis of myocardial ischemia. When compared to current widely-used methods, 3DMP™ has performed far more accurately and shown its capability to detect ischemia in much earlier stages of the disease process, thereby enabling physicians to intervene early, to prevent premature death, and to save lives. It does this through the use of trusted internet appliances to digitize and transmit the resting ECG data to our central servers for processing. This processing utilizes an advanced relational database and sophisticated mathematical analysis to produce a complete, accurate diagnosis along with a severity score. The sensitivity, specificity, and positive and negative predictive values have been validated in double-blind, independently monitored single and multi-center clinical trials of more 1,500 patients in eight countries and three Continents (Asia, North America and Europe) undergoing coronary angiograms. The results of these trials form the basis of the results we provide to aid a trained physician in making their diagnosis.** This is important as it places the emphasise on a purely evidence based practice of medicine.

Recent Developments

Most recently, Premier Heart has developed 3DMP™ Triage; this application is flexible enough to be inserted into any digital ECG device and enables both a centralized and local solution. The local solution provides a disease severity score to allow for immediate diagnostic review, and the centralized option provides a full and complete Ischemia diagnosis. We are also investigating a mobile version of the 3DMP™ system.

Premier Heart currently has an article under review by a major medical journal detailing our work. Several more manuscripts presenting results of the most recent clinical trials are also being prepared for submissions for peer review publications. We are also in negotiations with several major ECG technology manufacturers and are pending SFDA (the Sino/Chinese FDA equivelant) certification; 3DMP™ technology was approved for US FDA in 1999 and Mexico FDA in 2005***.
